Figure 6-3: Reading an e-mail message.

You can do lots of other things with an e-mail message while you have it open:

Open an attachment. Tap the attachment icon at the bottom of the message to view it. To save an attached file or video clip, tap and hold on the photo or clip; then chose Save Image or Video from the menu that appears.

Zoom in on part of a message. Double-tap the part of the screen you want to make larger. Double-tap again to return to normal magnification. You can also pinch in and out to zoom.

Start a new message. Tap the New Message icon.

Make someone a VIP. Tap the VIP entry on the Mailbox screen. Then tap the Add VIP button. Messages from the VIP list appear in the VIP mailbox.

Reply to or forward a message. Tap the Reply/Forward icon.

Print the message. Tap the Reply/Forward icon.

Flag the message or mark it as unread. Tap the Flag icon. A flagged message shows a flag icon to the left of the message header on the Inbox list.

Move the message. Tap the Move icon. You can move messages to another account, box, or folder. Mail shows destination locations in the current e-mail account, but you can tap the Accounts button at the top left to change accounts.

Move the message to the All Mail box for the current account. Tap the Archive icon. The All Mail box makes it easy to remove older messages from your Inbox without deleting them.

To archive, move, delete, or mark more than one message directly from the Inbox list, tap the Edit button and then tap the desired message(s). Then tap the corresponding button at the bottom of the screen.
